Public Access Service Dog Training

During our Board and Train program, your dog will stay safely in-home with our experienced trainer, providing a comfortable and familiar environment that feels like home. This personal approach helps reduce stress and anxiety, allowing your dog to relax and thrive while learning in a setting similar to their own. With constant supervision and care, your dog will experience the best of both training and home comforts.

In our public access program, the focus is on teaching dogs to behave appropriately and confidently in a variety of public settings.

 

Calm Behavior in Crowded Areas: Teaching your dog to remain calm and focused in busy environments like stores, restaurants, or parks.

Loose Leash Walking: Ensuring your dog walks politely on a leash without pulling or lunging, even with distractions around.

​

Distraction Training: Helping your dog ignore distractions like people, other animals, loud noises, and food smells.

​

Settling in Public Spaces: Training your dog to relax and stay calmly at your side, whether seated under a table or waiting in line.

Polite Greetings: Teaching your dog not to jump or show over-excitement when encountering new people or situations.

Manners Around Other Dogs: Reinforcing neutral behavior around other dogs without barking, lunging, or showing reactivity.

Optionally: Off-Leash training: For many handlers, having a service dog who is reliable off-leash is important. Most clients choose to include this as a part of their program!

At the end of your dog's stay, we will meet for an owner training session to teach you how to maintain and reinforce what we worked on
